Michigan State football is becoming one hell of a leader in the form of IMG Academy four-star linebacker Jordan Hall.
Mel Tucker is selective when it comes to recruiting. While he comes up with a ton of offers, it feels like he and his Michigan State football team are carefully evaluating these players on and off the field to find the right picks for the program.
Rarely will you find rookies who are both potential Day 1 starters and future captains clear based on the respect they command off the field.
Jordan Hall is one of those rare recruits.
The four-star IMG Academy linebacker made headlines when he signed on during his official visit to Michigan State, making the announcement at Tucker’s in front of future teammates and other recruits. It was a show of strength and it showed two main personality traits: confidence and leadership.
Hall made a move hoping it would get others to follow suit. The Spartans picked up two more four stars this weekend from official visits as Hall’s public promise set off a domino effect.
When you are a natural leader, others usually follow.
And follow people.
Being captain at the IMG Academy is a prestigious honor and Hall is the only three-time captain in the program’s history. It’s special and it shows how much he is respected.
A leader on the pitch, Hall is an even better leader, coaching youth football after a hectic recruitment schedule.
Not only did he coach a junior football team, he led it to a championship.
Giving back to the community is huge and it doesn’t even stop there. He is also hosting his own youth football camp in a few weeks.
A three-time IMG Academy captain who signed on in front of dozens of rookies, players and coaches coaching a junior soccer team to a championship just weeks before hosting his own junior soccer camp? Yeah, this guy has that this factor.
Hall is going to be an all-time leader at East Lansing and his freshman year can’t come soon enough.
