Walk, run, run, jump or roll. No matter how you want to participate, you have the chance to be part of Tom Izzo’s Legacy in this year’s annual Izzo Legacy 5K Run/Walk/Roll.
The Izzo Legacy 5K is an opportunity for Michigan State University students and alumni, as well as members of the Mid-Michigan community, to participate in a “positive celebration of Coach Izzo’s legacy.” Not only that, but the 5K is also a chance to raise money for the charities that are dear to the hearts of the Izzo family. Charities and organizations from our own backyard, like the Lansing Promise HOPE Fellowship, Cristo Rey Community Center, Ele’s Place, Greater Lansing Food Bank and more.
Lupe Izzo had this to say,
Tom and I believe in giving back to our community that has given us so much over the years. We know the generous work of our selected charities and the challenges they have faced over the past two years.
If you want to give back, get in shape, have a cool MSU campus experience, or all of the above, this event might be for you.
The Izzo Legacy 5K Run/Walk/Roll 2022
The event itself will take place on the Michigan State campus on the morning of Saturday, April 16, just before the spring football game.
Tickets are on sale now. And what’s cool is that you can participate in several ways. Maybe you’re not quite up for a 5K but still want to go? So maybe the 3/4 Mile Walk and Roll would be more your speed? If the kids want to join and you know 5K is more than they can handle, you can sign them up for the 1/2 mile kids race. Whichever way you prefer to participate, you can find information here.
