MSU Hosts First Family Weekend Presented by MSUFCU | MSUToday

MSU and Spartan Family Connections are hosting their first Spartan Family Weekend presented by MSUFCU September 23-25. University-facing family activities will take place at several locations around the MSU campus.

More than 1,100 families – 3,500 people – are registered for the weekend, which begins with check-in from 1 p.m. Friday at the Breslin Student Events Center. Families will receive a registration package and a welcome gift.

An information fair will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Breslin Center before the start of the family weekend reception at 7 p.m., followed by a screening of “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Saturday’s activities include an open house at the newly renovated Munn Ice Arena before the football game against Minnesota. Sweet Encounters Bakery is hosting the pre-game open house.

Spartan Family Connections has partnered with many campus partners as well as local community partners to provide families the opportunity to explore different areas of the MSU campus, participate in fun hands-on activities, and learn more on the local community.

Additionally, through a generous gift from MSUFCU as well as donations to the Spartan Family Connections Programming Fund, support is being provided to more than 60 families who would otherwise not have been able to attend.
