North Michigan Community Action Agency Announces November Workshops

Registration is open for the North Michigan Community Action Agency, Money Management, and Homebuyer Education November workshops.

Money Management comes as a three-part series that can be followed in any order from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on November 1, 8, and 15. Money Management offers a wide variety of topics focusing on how to develop a savings plan, differences between banks and credit unions, credit and more. All workshops take place on Zoom. The cost of money management is $20 for the three-part series per household.

Homebuyer Education is only available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 12. Homebuyer education covers every step of the home buying process, from how to determine a budget to what to expect on closing day. All workshops take place on Zoom. The cost for homebuyer education is $75 for the two-part series and single session per household.

Both workshops are also available online for those unable to attend the in-person sessions. Self-paced online workshops contain the same material as Zoom workshops. The cost for the self-paced money management workshop is $35 and the cost for the self-paced homebuyer training is $99.

Scholarships are available to income qualified individuals.

For those facing or experiencing foreclosure, the NMCAA offers free foreclosure training and budget coaching.
