# 3 State of Michigan @ Purdue
Current records: Michigan State 8-0; Purdue 5-3
What there is to know
The Michigan State Spartans and Purdue Boilermakers will face off in a Big Ten clash at 3:30 p.m. ET on November 6 at Ross-Ade Stadium. These two teams enter the competition strengthened by victories in their previous matches.
While it wasn’t a dominant performance, the Spartans beat the Michigan Wolverines 37-33 last week. RB Kenneth Walker III was a one-man demolition crew for MSU, rushing for five touchdowns and 197 yards on 23 carries. One of the most memorable games of the clash was Walker III’s 58-yard touchdown rush in the fourth quarter. Unsurprisingly, Walker III’s remarkable performance placed his one-game rushing touchdown at a high level for the season.
Meanwhile, Purdue didn’t have too much leeway in their game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers last week, but they came away with a 28-23 victory nonetheless. No one has had a standout offensive game for the Boilermakers, but they did score from a handful of players including WR Jackson Anthrop, RB Zander Horvath and WR Milton Wright.
Purdue’s defense was a presence, as she tallied four interceptions. LB Jalen Graham recovered that interception and then treated the injury by picking it up the other way around for a touchdown.
This next clash is expected to be close, with MSU just a 2.5-point favorite. They might be worth trying their hand at ATS as they are currently on a four-game winning streak against ATS.
The victories took MSU to 8-0 and the Boilermakers to 5-3. A few defensive numbers to keep in mind before kick-off: The Spartans stumble into the game with the 214th most passing yards allowed per game in the country, after allowing 286.1 on average. Purdue has had his own struggles as he’s the seventh worst in the country in rushing touchdowns allowed, with six in the season. It’s possible that one of those Achilles heels will end up tripping the losing team.
